February 11, 2009

I have seven pages on my senior paper and getting some last resources so I can finish it up.
For the pieces I need it is gonna cost: $7 for the primer, $4 for a 20 pack of 1/2" cpvc ells, $ 3 for the 1 1/2 p-trap. I have some plywood at my my house but it is 3/4", so i have to contact my mentor to see if that would work. I plan to meet him on Saturday if I have all the supplies.
I have finished my framing for the sink, and have installed the hot water line out of copper. I need a cpvc ell 1/2" to finish up the cold water side. I need the primer to finish up the drain pipes.
All i have to finish getting is some primer, 1/2" cpvc ell, 1/2" plywood 3'*31", 1/2" plywood 1'*31", 1 1/2 p-trap plastic.
I have given the sink to my mentor to see if it would work or if i nee to find a different sink and he informed me that the one i sent him would work good enough to pipe as my final product.
I have found a sink and most of the lumber i need for my product. I am gonna try and visit him this weekend to work on my product some.
I have found a new mentor, his name is Tony Walker. We met for about 30 minutes Saturday to figure up all the materials ill need.
Rough draft was turned in and need more pages.
On Saturday, we had to rip the bathroom floor out because the sink, the toilet, and the washing machine hookups were leaking for a long time. The floor was soaked through all three layers of the subflooring. The pipe was busted at the washing machine hook up from about eighteen inches down the pipe to the bottom of the shut off valve for the cold water side. The floor took us about an hour and a half to rip up because we was using hammers. We went up to the trailer up the road and replace part of a pipe that went from cpvc to metal piping to pvc back to metal piping back to cpvc. The cpvc was about ten inches that needed to be replaced.
I am now working on my paper for the project, I have not met with my mentor this week due to the free time I have had free. I have tried calling him but he has been busy for the most part and I have been doing my school work so i don't have that much extra time to meet with anyone to practice my project.
I've started on my rough draft and haven't spoken to my mentor over the whole weekend. I did not have the gas to go over there and work with him so I will propbally go over there this weekend and see what else I can learn
Yesterday, my mentor and I fixed a leak in the same trailers as the day before, and we had to mark out the lines and dig up a small ditch for the new sewage pipes.
On Sunday, my mentor and I worked for a little over 7 hours. We fixed a total of 10 different leaks. We fixed a well house and had to replace the shutoff valves. We repiped a trailer that had a busted sewage pipe and water pipes. We went and repiped the cold water side of a hot water heater. We had to bring the ShopVac and a squeegee to remove all of the water, and we dumped 78 gallons of water out of the apartment all together. We went back over to deerbrook and fixed two more leaks. We had to go back over to Blair's Fork and fix another three leaks in the apartment, one was leaking from the backside of the apartment, and one busted pipe that was leaking from the ceiling. We had to repipe part of a trailer that still had metal piping under it.
I have just finished editing my final copy of the Letter of Intent. I had some minor changes that needed to be changed to take out some of the repetition.
I have finished my rough draft of my Letter of Intent to my Academic Coach. I am going to start with my mentor Friday after school and I will be with him all day Saturday hopefully, depending if he is working or not.
I have started writing my Letter of Intent to my Academic Coach. I have also completed the Proposal Approval for my Academic Coach. My academic coach is Ms. Tonia Olson
I would also like to try and change a clutch in a manual transmission since i have never messed around with them. I have to ask the guy if he could be my mentor. My dad needs to change his clutch in his 2004 Dodge Dakota 5 speed manual transmission. If I could learn about that then i could change his clutch over the summer.
I was thinking about making a website or learning how bamboo was used in martial arts, living styles, and decoration. If I do something with bamboo, my mentor would be Charles Moody. If I would make a website i would have to find a mentor. Charles has bamboo in his yard and is a black belt in different styles of martial arts.
